hey guys, My girlfriend (lydia) is pregnant and I do not know if it is my child or not. We broke up because she cheated on me. She said that her last period was the 27th july, I just found that out tonight. So my question is...if her last period was the 27th and we got back together around the third of august, is it mine? So she said she was not having sex with him in august at all. and we started having sex when we got back together. she says that she is 11 weeks and 3 days. I don't know, I am going to stick by her side either way, but i am going to get a test done to make sure. It's just so frustrating for her to get all excited and i just can't. I want to be, don't get me wrong, but i find it hard when i don't even know if the child is mine. let me see what you guys come up with. I appreciate it so much. -dustin

Yes, it could be. That's only a week after her period, there is a VERY good chance that it's yours. If you have a doubt, get a DNA test, but I'd bet it's yours. You may want to do some research on how pregnancy weeks are counted, you are "2 weeks pregnant" when you conceive, so things can get a bit confusing if you don't know how they are counted.
unless she was with somebody else around aug 2 or 3rd. then its yours. you can figure how far along she is and find out about when she got pregnant.:-)
Most likely it is your child. Think about it this way. Women can get pregnant during anytime of the month. Keep in mind that Sperm can stay alive inside a woman for 3 to 5 days. So if she is ovulating around the time you have sex you should know that she could get pregnant. As for the infidelity thing you need to let her know that it is a serious matter and tell her what is on your mind. Don't be too pushy though pregnant women have mood swings and will cry or yell when provoked!
your most fertile time is 2 weeks after your period...count....but then again you can not have that as your only determining factor....she could have slept with u and then slept with another guy that same day...just do the dna....and on top of that you can do a dna before the baby is born if you are that worried about....

You're a good man. The father of the baby is the one who cares for him or her. You'll find out soon enough if you are the biological father. Every child deserves love and care. Hopefully Lydia's got her head on straight now.
ok here are some dates you may find help full. now if she says her last period was the 27th of july 2008, than today being wednesday she would be 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Date of your last menstrual period: Conception Occurred:Sunday, August 10, 2008 (about two weeks after last menstrual period) First Trimester Ends (12 weeks) :Sunday, October 19, 2008 Second Trimester Ends:Sunday, February 1, 2009 (27 weeks) Estimated Due Date: Sunday may 3rd 2009. So if this is your baby, these would be the dates and how far she is today would be 12 weeks and 3 days and that would mean this is your baby because this baby was conceived the 10th of august. Now if she says she is only 11 weeks and 3 days along, these are the dates you would get. Date of your last menstrual period: Sunday august 3rd 2008 Conception Occurred:Sunday, August 17, 2008 (about two weeks after last menstrual period) First Trimester Ends (12 weeks) : Sunday, October 26, 2008 Second Trimester Ends:Sunday, February 8, 2009 (27 weeks) Estimated Due Date: Sunday may 10th 2009. So today being wednesday 22nd october, she would be 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Either way the conception of the baby was after the 3rd of august, so this baby belongs TO YOU. congrats!
