Is it ok to have more than one baby registry? What do you think of mine?
My cousin had her baby registry at target & babies r us. I was thinking about doing mine at Babies R Us, Target & Kohls. Is more than 1 too many? Or is 3 too many? I don't expect to get everything I put on them, whatever I don't get I will get later. (I'm having the baby shower at 7 months)

- nooo i dont think u can have 2 many!...maybe some ppl prefer 2 shop @ specific places!
- Im doing the same thing im registered at Target Babies R us and another store here in my state.... I dont think that there is anything wrong with it...Just because you registered at those places doesn't mean that anyone has to buy from those stores or that they have to get you whats on any of them but it does give people an idea of what you want and need for your baby.
- No! I'm going to do mine at 2, maybe 3 places. Just cause ya have them at more than one place doesnt mean they have to buy things from each place.. Some people may prefer to go to different stores anyways. I really dont think it matters, I wouldnt worry about it if I were you. :) Congrats!!
- Two or three should be the limit so you can keep track easier and don't appear over the line. I did mine at Toys R Us (we don't have a Babies R Us nearby) and Walmart. The reason I did the second one at Walmart is b/c they are more affordable than the others for the people I know who have it rough financially and they have just as good a selection as others.
- I think 3 is getting towards tacky. It's sort of like giving people a list to go run around town, it seems sort of picky and somewhat greedy to me. I'd just leave a registry at 1 place, and do the rest of the shopping yourself at the other two. Why must everyone rely on families these days to do all the shopping? Yes it's nice to give an idea of things that might be useful, but 3 handpicked lists??
- I think 2 is fine. I'm not sure if 3 is too many or not. I think I would try to limit it to 2 registries, but that's just me. I certainly don't think it is tacky like another poster is. These days, with the internet, you can usually look up a person's registry online (and even buy online). It's not as if the person needs to drive to all the stores just to see what you are registered for!
- 3 doesnt seem like to many to me, it gives people more to choose from. i was registered at target and babies r us. i only had a few things at target and got most of them at my shower and at babies r us i picked about 100 things and only got maybe 15 things from there. most people just bought whatever they wanted. which was ok but if you have 3 registrys dont be upset when you dont get everything you wanted...it bummed me out a little bit.
- You can have as many as you want (:
- I do too think 3 is a bit excessive. Overall that is a lot of items. If it were me I would definitely try to cut down to 1-2, I know I wouldn't feel right expecting my friends and family to suss out 3 different registries and pick items out . (not all of my relatives have much knowledge about modern technology...they aren't the people who know about to look online for these things.
