Michael Jackson or Madonna? With these two legends who do you think had contributed a lot to pop culture. BQ: Madonna's "Human Nature" or Michael's "Human Nature"?
Do you sometimes have the impression however open minded you might be that there are rarely music ? by today artist that can compare with good music of the past. Of course I know people who think that MUSIC is only classical music. I listen to today artists but I think that best pop ever was done in the Eighties. I am still waiting for song that can outperform Phil Collins' Against All Odds, Cindy Lauper's Time After Time, Tina Turner's Private Dancer, Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Madonna's Live to Tell, Soul II Soul's Back To Life, even Milli Vanilli (yeah ) to cite just a few What are the songs you think are still unbeatable ? Forgot to say I am FOREVER a fan of late Seventies and early Eighties Reggae: Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, Steel Pulse, Third World etc Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel in late sixties is one of best songs ever made, Rod Stewart's Sailing will live forever and yeah every decade has plenty of good songs. But let me put the question differently: do you have the impression that when artists get rich and famous they tend to screw things up and mess their music ?
What do you call that black shiny material that's often used in fetish clothing and stuff? It's black and shiny... like what Madonna wears in her "Human Nature" music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IATMj5fPOow What is that material called?

would you consider madonna to be a feminist in the entertainment world? when i say feminist i don't mean the iconic femnists of the 50's, 60's. what i mean is do you think madonna has done things throughout her career to change women's points of views on sex and religion. like for instance songs like, like a virgin, papa don't preach, like a prayer, express yourself, erotica, bedtime stories, human nature, secret, justify my love, what it feels for a girl have all been about women neither haveing pre marraige sex, teenage pregnancy, rape, interacial relatonships, control over sex life, talking about sex openly like men, promoting female surrealists, gay rights and lesbian relationships, her sex book. even though she sold out at 50 and going through a mid-life crisis right now you have to admit throughout her career she had balls and wasn't afraid to express her opinion even if it was for publicity. she's just a dominant person and is prabably the most famous female entertainer of all time and i consider her a feminist in the entertainment world. do you think she is?

Why do people find it hard to...? talk about sex... I have come accross some questions recently relating to sex and people get all on the defensive. Sex is something that is done everyday all over the world, yet it is still looked upon as a "taboo" subject. there's song that were released about it such as Salt n Pepa's (from the 80's) "Let's talk about sex" and Madonna's "Human nature" yet we still shudder when we talk masterbation, or our fave positions/place to have sex... What is up with these people??????
How do you make yourself sound good in a music studio? Now, I have mixcraft 3, and honestly, I just fool around with it. I am a terrible singer. Now I know Mixcraft isnt as professional as these big music studios Universal owns with all their producers and crap, but is there any way I can make myself sound great? I mean I've seen people sound horrible live, but see them touch it up for the DVD (EX: Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour Human Nature performance). So, back to the topic, is there any guide on how to make myself sound good with Mixcraft?
Who should co-write songs for Britney Spears 7th studio album? It has gone through my mind that Britney Spears, obviously, has been embracing Madonna on her celebrity 'public' life. Meaning, the whole high highs and low lows of being a pop entertainer. Britney Spears, she has also proven to be a good co-writer with her music. If you don't believe me, listen to the In the Zone album or the recent - "Mannequin," "Freakshow," and "Ooh ooh Baby." Nonetheless, I am still a huge fan of the song "Unusual You," and would have liked for the song to have been a single. I think it would have won her several awards, but we all know Spears doesn't care for awards. And, this is why I believe that Madonna should co-write with Spears on a "Human Nature" - Part 2 song... the "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ME SONG" song. In addition, I was also thinking that Sinaed O'Connor should write Spears a song; just listen to her 1990 album "I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got" album. I am not saying that Britney Spears should go folk, but her album should have meaning with her "Hey, now, that is a Britney Spears hit!" Hope you get what I am saying. It is being speculated that the Spears team wants to go Epic. I believe, that my idea is epic enough to shock the world and shut those who doubt on Britney. Furthermore, Britney Spears has also sung Alanis Morissette's song, "You Oughta Know," on her 2009-2010 tour. Why can't Alanis collaborate with her on a song? If you don't agree with my idea, who do think would be a great collaboration and/or co-writer for Britney Spears' 7th studio album? P.S. I was thinking of Linda Perry as well, because earlier this week Perry was interviewed on Good Day L.A. about who she would love to write a song for a she said, "Britney Spears..." Hmmm? I have so many people I believe would make Britney Spears album a "What the F.U.C.K... Is this really Britney?" Finally, if this is to over the edge, why not new people and power it up with Blackout 5.0 (plus)!?!? Peace, LC2
MJ Fam: Which do you prefer? Stranger in Moscow or Human Nature PYT or Baby Be Mine Blood on the Dacne Floor or Superfly Sister Butterflies or Speechless Also, if Michael were still with us, don't you think he would go down to Haiti to help, instead of announcing to the world that he wrote a big fat check, like Sandra Bullock and Madonna? Those 2 disgust me...they only want to show off how much money they have. Why don't they fly down and help like Wyclef Jean???
What do you think of these lyrics? I didn't write them (Madonna did), but i was just wondering what you think of dem... You wouldn't let me say the words I long to say. You didn't want to see life through my eyes. You tried to shove me back inside your narrow room, And silence me with bitterness and lies. Did I say something wrong? Oops! I didn't know I couldn't talk about sex. Did I stay too long? Oops! I didn't know I couldn't speak my mind. But I'm not sorry. It's human nature. Ya, I'm not sorry. I'm not your b****, don't hang your sh** on me. You punish me for telling you my fantasies. I'm breaking all the rules I didn't make. You took my words and made a trap for silly fools. You held me down and tried to make me break. Did I say something true? Oops! I didn't know I couldn't talk about sex. Did I have a point of view? Oops! I didn't know I couldn't talk about YOU. But I'm not sorry. It's human nature. I'm not sorry. I'm not your b**** don't hang your sh** on me. (continued).... I'm not apologizing. Would it sound better if i were a man? Would you like me better if I was? You're the one with the problem. I don't have to justify anything. Why don't you just deal with it. Just look in the mirror.
Can someone please correct my essay? This is a compare and contrast, any help would be great especially with comma splices and run-ons thank you!! The Charm of Magic City With a skyline like nowhere else in the world, Miami FL is an urban paradise. The buildings reach up into the heavens, mediators between the sky and the concrete street. The streets that move and seethe under the adoring eyes of the summer sun. The city has a heartbeat of its own; the heat can be seen rising from the ground, pulsing. With youthful eyes Miami seemed so vast to me, the skyscrapers and shoreline extended far beyond my comprehension. This place was the stage of my childhood, where I found out what friendship and love meant; where I discovered things about myself that live true to this day. I left Miami when I was 14 because my parents said that it was too dangerous for me. I never understood what they meant back then; I couldn’t fathom that the place where all my dreams were born, could be bad. I’ve come back to visit during Christmas, after many years have passed; the whole family got together at my grandmother’s house. There is a huge celebration, with more home cooked Cuban food than even an ambitious family restaurant. After talking with cousins’, aunts, and uncles and going out to my old haunts on south beach, I realize that the city just didn’t feel the same. The city itself hasn’t changed much, it’s still a hotspot for people looking to have fun and let loose. The place that I remember is just a façade, and has somehow melted away to reveal what was there all along. So with a veteran’s eye I take a closer look at the city I once loved, and see the decay and filth that was underneath the neon lights all those years ago. Miami was utopia for me, there was a huge world within the city limits for me to explore and experience. At any given time there was somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. I can remember standing on Lincoln Ave, and marveling at the cacophony emitted by the tangling of so many people’s lives; it was an urban orchestra of speech and noise performed in a way that made it beautiful. The smell of overpriced coffee and sea water was like catnip for to a kitten. Being young and wanting to find out about society, and how people interact with each other; I was fascinated by the masses that flooded the beach on Saturday night. I could observe human nature and all the different lifestyles put on display; I could be a part of it all. I decide to take a ride down to the same spot during my visit and realize that nothing is like it was. The 45 minute drive, and then the 30 minutes spent driving around looking for parking was enough to make me insane. There were so many people on the street that I had to cruise at 5 miles an hour just to avoid hitting someone. The horde of people didn’t seem so interesting anymore, instead they were just a nuisance. The girls dressed in hot pink tutus, and the guys in black trench coats and eye liner didn’t arouse my enthusiasm for the city, I just looked at them funny and paid little attention. Walking down the same strip, carrying a cup of that same overpriced coffee I used to smell, a different aroma filled the air; it was stale beer and cigarette smoke. The mighty kingdom of the Lincoln strip has been reduced to an overcrowded, inconveniencing maze of drunken college students. Besides a retirement destination, Miami is known for its nightlife. Back when I partied all the time, the club scene was something out of the movies; although I was too young to be there, I always got in. My Favorite club was the crowbar, where people like Madonna had been known to visit. Walking in was like entering a different world, the huge ceiling to floor tropical fish tanks and dripping crystal chandeliers made a lasting impression. The vibrations from the blasting music entered my ears and spread through my body like neurotoxic poison from a snake bite; taking control of me and forcing me to dance all night long. There was always a house party or rave to attend, where strobe lights made things move in slow motion, and the techno music could be heard for at least 2 city blocks. Laughter and dancing were on the forefront of my agenda; everyone around me seemed to be having the time of their lives. Upon my return to this party destination, my feelings are far from lighthearted and carefree. Before even reaching the club I notice the graffiti laden walls; I now know what the symbols on the sides of buildings mean. I also know that I can’t drive down certain street or wear certain colors in some areas. There was always deviance before, but neighborhood squabbles are a far cry from the gun fights and robbery that is seen now. The growth and evolution of violence can be tracked; it’s a toxic wave of noxious fumes that creeps through alleys leaving a visible trail of corrosion in its wake. This dark fog of malicious activity comes to rest under burned out street lamps or high traffic cor
how many of you think that justine biber is the next king of pop ? use logice.. oky so here are al the things that michael did from his chillhood untill he past even know he is still making more [edit] US chart records and achievements Jackson's Thriller (1982) remained at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart for thirty-seven weeks, second only to the soundtrack for West Side Story.[1] Thriller spent a record 80 consecutive weeks, more than a year and a half, in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. It was the first of only three albums that have remained in the Top 10 for more than one year (along with Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill and Celine Dion's Falling into You). It is the only album to have sold more copies in the United States than any other in two separate years, topping the sales charts in 1983 and 1984, and selling over 29 million copies to date. Worldwide, its sales total has been estimated at 55 million copies by the Guinness Book of World Records, and at 110 million by Jackson's management; either figure would make "Thriller" the top-selling album in the history of music. Five of Jackson's albums, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, Invincible, and the soundtrack to Michael Jackson's This Is It, debuted at number one in the United States. Jackson was the first artist to chart four Top 10 singles from one album (Off the Wall). Jackson was the first artist to chart seven Top 10 singles from one album (Thriller), a feat matched only by his sister Janet and Bruce Springsteen. Jackson is the only artist to chart five number one hits from one LP, Bad ("Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Man in the Mirror", "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", and "Dirty Diana"). With "Thriller"'s "Billie Jean", Jackson became the first artist to simultaneously have the number one album and number one single on Billboard's Pop Charts and Black Charts. Following changes in Billboard's methodology, Jackson became the first artist to have a song debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 ("You Are Not Alone").[1] In 2009 Jackson became the first artist in history to have four of the top 20 best selling albums of the year in the United States[2] Jackson has had 13 #1 singles on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, trailing only The Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18) and Elvis Presley (18 or 17, depending on source). This total does not include "We Are the World", co-written by Jackson and credited to USA for Africa, or the four #1 singles by The Jackson 5. Jackson had 28 top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, one less than The Beatles (29), and trailing Elvis Presley (36) and Madonna (37). What say you? Catholics Believe Mary is the Immaculate Conception, having been conceived without the stain of original sin upon her soul. Mary is the Second Eve, whose "soul did magnify the Lord," whereas the First Eve demagnified God through disobedience of His command. Mary is the "virgin" Isaiah said would conceive the "Emmanuel, God with us" (7:14): That this prophesy included the virginal birth, as well as the virginal conception of Jesus the Messiah. Mary, being the mother of Jesus, "the Son of the Most High" (St. Luke 1:32), is the mother of God: "How have I (Elizabeth) deserved that (Mary) the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (St. Luke 1:44). Catholics Believe Mary is the spiritual mother of mankind: "Behold thy mother" (St. John 19:27). Mary is the mother who is ever ready to carry their petitions to her Divine Son. Mary is the mother who knows the yearnings in the hearts of mankind, having been the ideal maiden, wife, mother and widow. Mary is the Saint of Saints, our Mediatrix, whose intercessory influence with her Divine Son is first and foremost in heaven. Catholics are proud to be of those "generations" that Mary said would "call" her "blessed" (St. Luke 1:48). Mary most pure; Mary inviolate: Virgin of Virgins; Queen of the Holy Rosary; "Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb" Jesus (St. Luke 1:42-43): Holy Mary, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Non-Catholics who make Mary the Mother of Jesus do so, because they do not accept the true doctrine of the Incarnation, viz., that Jesus Christ possesses a Divine and a Human nature in one Divine Personality. Jesus was never a human person; He was a divine Person who assumed our human nature in the womb of the Virgin Mary. She was the Mother of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, and therefore the Mother of God. Catholics cannot help but question the consistency of Protestants giving praise of the highest to Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Deborah, Ruth, and others, while virtually ignoring Mary. Surely she towers far above them. Is it because Catholics are profuse in their love and praise of Mary? You can go "to Jesus directly," as you say, but why not go to Mary as well? One does not exclude the other. Is not Mary the Mother of Jesus? Is not such a pure and devoted Mother more influential than we are with her sublime and devoted Son? Does not your Protestant Bible say that David asked the saints to give thanks to God for him? Then why not ask Mary, the Saint of Saints, to take your paeans of praise and petitions to her Son? "Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints oi his, and give thanks at the remembrance oi his holiness" (Ps. 29:5). Catholics go to Jesus directly through prayer, and also by prayerfully participating in the holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the worship that is above all worship in the Catholic Church. It is a continuation, in an unbloody manner, of the bloody sacrifice Christ made on Mount Calvary. Still more intimate and loving is the relationship of Catholics with Jesus through partaking of His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in Communion. Thus the bodies of practical Catholics are tabernacles of Jesus Christ, as well as temples ol the Holy Ghost. By prayer, Catholics go to Jesus, in humility, through His Blessed Mother Mary. They believe that the prayers of the saints in heaven are more influential than their own. Revelation 8:3 tells us that saints do pray: "the prayers of all the saints (offered) upon the golden altar which was before the throne" of God. Saints are the heavenly friends of God, the foremost of them being the Mother of our Lord, the Saint of Saints. Devout Protestants pray for the conversion of sinners, why exclude intercessory prayers of the saints, to Mary in particular, to keep us true and pure? Catholics consider Mary to be their spiritual Mother, the second Eve, who gave the world the Second Adam, to whom they are indebted for their redemption and regeneration. In her they see all, and more, of the good, beautiful and pure that was prefigured in Eve, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Judith, Esther, and Deborah. They love her for herself, because she was the virgin vessel from which Jesus came. Hence Catholics lovingly ask her intercession. Strange, indeed, is it for Protestants to refuse to go to the Lord through the prayers of others as well as their own, when their Bible shows that Jeremiah asked the prophets to do so: "It they be prophets, and if the word of the Lord he with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord oi hosts, that the. vessels of the Temple he brought back" (27:18). St. Paul said: "I exhort that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions,—be made for all men" (1 Tim. 2:1). If the prayers of man for his fellowman are of value, why not the prayers of souls in heaven that once lived among men? Longfellow, in the "Golden Legend," Kipling in the "Hymn Before Action," and other famous poets not of the Catholic faith, encompassed the beauty and soundness of the intercessory aid of Mary. Kipling's prayer is— "Oh Mary, pierced with sorrow, Remember, reach and save The soul that comes tomorrow Before the God that gave! Since each was born of woman, For each at utter need True comrade and true foreman Madonna, intercede!" Source(s): http://www.catholicapologetics.net... My question is what is your opinion on why people say "Catholics worship Mary"? Also, other faiths honor her. Though the devotion Catholics extend to Mary be called "worship" in the wrong sense of the term, they will continue, with the Angels, to call her "blessed among women." No honor is too great for this heroine of heroines. She is all that is humble, modest and pure among women, and above all, she is the mother of Jesus, who is our Lord and our God.
